terroir-ay2Terroir of Aÿ

The kingdom of Pinot Noir, essentially South Exposure – at the crossroads of the Montagne de Reims and the Grande Vallée de la Marne. Grand Cru, classified 100%, is very much appreciated for its potential to make powerful wines with beautiful small red fruits aromas. Henry IV was subdued by the wines of AY.

pressoir03-vTerroir of Chouilly

One of the most sought after Terroir of the Côte des Blancs.

Only Chardonnay grape variety growns here, with its white flowers aromas which will evolve, depending on its age, towards butter notes, brioche, gingerbread and many more subtle aromas.

The hillside top of Chouilly is exposed towards the rising sun. The chalky and limestone subsoil, which is particularly loved by the Chardonnay, is giving a tremendous palette of nuances of aromas and flavours. This is a Grand Cru, classified 100% - only 17 villages in Champagne are concerned with this designation.

neigeTerroir of d’Avenay-Val-d’Or

Avenay-Val-d'Or is planted with Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier.

It is a 1er Cru of 'La Montagne de Reims'.

The grapes from Avenay-Val-d'Or don't get into the blend of our Grand Cru cuvées but they are giving us, with the grapes from Hautvillers, a great selection for our Rosé Champagne and our special Cuvée des Desserts.

11Terroir of Hautvillers

Hautvillers, in the Grande Vallée de la Marne, is very proud of being the birth of Champagne.

Dom Perignon, cellar Master of Hautvillers Abbey, worked tirelessly and successfully to improve the quality and renown of the wines of Champagne. Hautvillers is, without doubt, one of the most beautiful villages in Champagne.

The best grapes are selected from Hautvillers, similarly as Aveanay-Val-d'Or, for our Rosé Champagne and our special Cuvée des Desserts.
