Location of the Champagne Region within Europe :

If doesn't come from Champagne (the region) it is not Champagne (the wine). Champagne and our Champagne House is located at the heart of Europe in the most visited country in the world, France. The Champagne-Ardenne Country is situated in the North-East quarter of France. Don't chill out, it is not that cold.

Champagne viticultural area :

The delimitation of the Champagne viticultural area is defined by law according to principles that remain in force today. The official delimited viticultural zone represents a 34000 hectare area.

Today, the Pinot Noir (37%), Chardonnay (27%) and Meunier (37%) are the three approved Champagne grape varieties and account for virtually all plantings in the Champagne Region. Two black grape varieties with white juice (Pinot Noir and Meunier) and one white grape variety (Chardonnay) giving white juice.

You will find four main regions within the delimited area:

'la Vallée de la Marne & la Grande Vallée de la Marne',
'la Montagne de Reims',
'la Côte des Blancs' and
'la Côte des Bar'.
